Congratulations Arcade Fire and Merge Records!

February 14, 2011  •  Category: Blog, Promotions

Congratulations to Arcade Fire, who brought home the Album of the Year award for “The Suburbs” at last night’s  Grammy Awards. They beat out favorites Eminem and Lady Antebellum to win the biggest prize in mainstream music. Arcade Fire is signed to Merge Records, an independent record label that is the  topic of Our Noise, The Story of Merge Records. To celebrate, we’re giving away 3 copies of Our Noise. Leave a comment (here on the blog or on our Facebook page) to enter.

If you aren’t familiar with The Suburbs, I highly recommend buying yourself a copy. (You can get it here, directly from the Merge store.)

Watch them perform “Ready to Start” (which was nominated for the best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals) at the Grammy Awards below.

When the nominees were announced, I said “Well, that’s nice that they were nominated, but they’ll never win. Not in a million years.”

    I am so glad I don’t gamble.
